Zeev Aram

After emigrating from Israel in 1957 and working briefly under architect Ernö Goldfinger, Zeev Aram OBE founded the design-focused Aram Store on London's King's Road in 1964. After 50 years at the forefront of the industry, Aram knows a thing or two about what constitutes good design – "imagination, creativity, originality, time and passion," he says.

As part of London Design Festival 2014, The Aram Gallery (housed in the Aram Store's current location in Covent Garden) is showing Future Stars?, an exhibition of new work by seven makers/designers as part of their continuing investigation into designers’ process.

Future Stars? runs until 25 October.
